Purchase Order Universal is our most adventurous add-on to date for Lightspeed. It provides an advanced solution to create and receive purchase orders.
Purchase Order Universal includes a fashion/apparel mode that you can activate to streamline the purchase ordering process for products that come in different variants such as sizes for shoes or clothing.
We built Purchase Order Universal in a framework called Hyperspace Workshop that makes it easy to continually add improvements and new efficiencies you need for your operations. It is designed to match the look and feel of Lightspeed, so your employees have a seamless user experience between Lightspeed and Hyperspace Workshop.
Purchase Order Universal enables employees to create purchase orders and receive stock inside the web application. It uses vendor, product, sales, stock and re-order data that exists in Lightspeed to deliver an integrated experience born of two systems connected and sharing data. It contains "quick search" data entry fields to locate products in Lightspeed. Ordering can be done in single or boxed quantities.
The integration also supports the fashion/apparel mode. When this mode is activated, you can select a vendor, view products from the vendor and easily choose the various sizes that need to be ordered in a grid style format.
Vendor settings and transmission
Hyperspace enables you to configure settings for each vendor in Lightspeed. You can define transmission methods (FTP), FTP settings, vendor formats (EDI 850) and vendor payment terms (net 30) for each vendor. It also contains several additional custom fields such as ship codes, shipping methods, shipping instructions and reference numbers. Vendor settings can be configured to convert purchase orders to an alternate currency format for international purchases. Purchase orders in the application have specific statuses and are color-coded to make it easy to identify next steps for the user.
Purchase Order Universal also supports importing .csv files to create purchase orders in bulk.
